Lost by skiphunt Lost by skiphunt
Where did we go wrong? We all locked step and followed the straight and narrow just as we were told. We were promised all would be known if only we trusted the lead... Where is now the lead? We are lost at the end of the line. The line was a facade and new one must be drawn.

If only the one would come... the promised guide.

We can only wait for a new horizon to be revealed... Unless the promised one will not come... It's up to us, lest we surrender to slavery.

Remember the mistaken path, but forge past the wall into the unknown. The fraudulent leaders led us nowhere.... Only on our own will we find what we seek.

What are they?
Who are they?
You don't have to answer coz I want it to be mysterious as it is.

The terracotta soldiers come to life in blue and in Portugal!

It is not just the alignment of blue that makes this shot appeal to me so ardently. It is the mosaic texture of the cobbled path, with each stone laid in perfection, and the three perfectly straight lines on the wall; smooth, but engraved/ingrained just like the path. Then there is the number of lines on each of the subjects in the shot: two lines on the courtyard, three engraved lines on the back wall and four distinct lines on the coat's of those in blue, not to mention the squares on the costumes linking to the squares of the path/courtyard so wonderfully.

For an impromptu shot, the visual perfection of it is quite remarkable. The numerous messages contained within this photo, depending on your perspective, leaves me gobsmacked. There are economic, social, cultural and emotive messages, but all of these do simply mean "lost".

I love this image...the composition...the colors of the blue lines and the clothing...(I also like the design of their costumes? and their headwear)...also your commentary fits perfectly with their stances. I also like the mosaic pattern on the floor in contrast to the horizontal lines on the grey stone wall. This image also looks as if one could step right into it. What are they doing and what is the meaning of the elaborate costumes and the lines on the floor...is this a temple that they are in?

Everything about this is wonderful! The colors, which there really are only two of, have different variations in them and help to break it up a bit. The composition is perfect and I love how the blue line leads my eye up to the people. Very nice capture and I love the angle too.
